PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mounting structure of a assist grip. SOLUTION: In the mounting structure for mounting the assist grip 1 to a car body panel through a base member 11 and a pin member 21, the base member 11 has an insertion aperture portion for inserting the pin member 21; a resilient engagement leg portion 14 for engaging with a mounting hole of the car body panel; and a pivot support portion 17 pivotally supported by the assist grip 1. The pin member 21 has a head portion 22; and a shaft portion 23 completely inserted into the insertion aperture portion and restricting an inward flexure of the resilient engagement leg portion 14. Whereas, a means for temporarily attaching the base member 11 and the pin member 21 is provided between both members 11, 21 before the shaft portion 23 of the pin member 21 is completely inserted into the insertion aperture portion 13 of the base member 11. A means for inserting the pin member 21 into the insertion aperture portion 13 by inhibiting the insertion of the shaft portion 23 of the pin member 21 into the insertion aperture portion 13 by inhibiting the insertion of the shaft portion 23 of the pin member 21 into the insertion aperture portion by the assist grip 1 and only urging the pin member 21 to the insertion direction is provided between the pin member 21 and the assist grip 1.
