New organometallic complex compounds (I) are metallocene derivatives of iron, cobalt, ruthenium or osmium with a substituted group IV, V or VI transition metal bridge linked to each cyclopentadiene ring by nitrogen, phosphorus or arsenic. New organometallic complex compounds of formula (I) are metallocene derivatives of iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), ruthenium (Ru) or osmium (Os) with a substituted group IV, V or VI transition metal bridge linked to each cyclopentadiene ring by nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) or arsenic (As): M<1> = Fe, Co, Ru or Os; M<2> = a group IV, V or VI transition metal; Nu<1>, Nu<2> = N, P or As; x = 0-3.
