PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera precisely performing focusing at high speed. SOLUTION: A moving step MS is made larger (MS=2s) when a focusing evaluated value Xn (contrast) is smaller than an evaluated threshold (a), and the moving step MS is made smaller (MS=s) when the focus evaluated value Xn is equal to or larger than the evaluated threshold (a). Thus, focusing is precisely performed with good operability at high speed. |
