PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper tube for winding yarn capable of being easily discriminated among multiple types of packages in a fiber manufacturer, weaving shop, and knitting shop so as to prevent mixed use while improving productivity at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this paper tube 3 used in winding fabric yarn by a winder, an identification seal 4 is removably adhered near at least one end. The identification seal is colored with a visually distinguishable color and adhered to an outer peripheral surface in a direction orthogonal to an axial direction of the paper tube and/or a circumferential surface along a circumferential direction. In the paper tube formed with a yarn introducing groove 1 and a holding groove 2 at the end, the identification seal is adhered on the end side of these grooves.
