PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a one-pack moisture-curing urethane adhesive or sealing agent having excellent thixotropic property, good workability and storage stability in use and giving a cured product having high elastic modulus and elongation as well as high cohesive force and breaking strength in balanced state and provide a method for the production of the adhesive. SOLUTION: The objective moisture-curing urethane adhesive or sealing agent is produced by adding limestone powder, carbon black and hydrophobic fine silica powder to a urethane prepolymer having isocyanate groups on both molecular terminals and synthesized by the reaction of diphenylmethane diisocyanate with a mixed polyol composed of tetrahydrofuran homopolymer or a copolymer of tetrahydrofuran and an alkylene oxide and other polyoxyalkylene ether polyol. The adhesive or sealing agent is produced by adding the fine silica powder after the synthesis of the urethane prepolymer.
