PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve device having a residual pressure release function exhausting after certainly stopping supply of compressed air in an opening/closing transition period. SOLUTION: In this valve device, a valve casing 2 is disposed with an auxiliary valve element 36 opening and closing an exhaust port 31 open on an outlet 4 side, such that the auxiliary valve element 36 can move inwardly and outwardly, while the auxiliary valve element 36 is energized outwardly by a spring 55. The lower face of an operation handle 20 opening and closing a valve element 15 restrains an end part of the auxiliary valve element 36 in a position except a valve closing position, such that the auxiliary valve element 36 cannot retreat outwardly, to retain the auxiliary valve element 36 to a closing position of the exhaust port 31. In the valve closing position, the restraint by the lower face is released to retreat the auxiliary valve element 36 outward by the energizing force of the spring 55 and to release the exhaust port 31 at the outward retreat position. Thereby, the auxiliary valve element 36 is retained by the restraint of the operation handle 20 not to be movable and to allow closing of the exhaust port 31 from a valve opening position to the valve closing position, so that the compressed air on the primary side does not leak outward from the exhaust port 31, in the process from the valve opening position to the valve closing position.
