PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic tester for judging soundness at a joint part of a pipe of diameter 700Φor less which is too small for a personnel to enter. SOLUTION: A hydraulic tester is provided which inspects water-tightness at a joint part 9a which connects pipes 9, which are to be inspected, such as cast-iron pipes with a water-tight rubber 9d in between. The hydraulic tester comprises two cut-off packers 2, a flexible member 3 connecting the two cut-off packers 2 with an interval, moving wheels 7 and 8 provided to the cut-off packers 2, a water-charging pipe 10 connecting the cut-off packers 2 together, an injection pipe 11 connected to the cut-off packers 2, an injection pipe 12 and an exhaust pipe 13 connected to the space between the cut-off packers 2, respectively, and a movable extension rod 21 connected to a side plate 4 on the rear side of the cut-off packer 2. Thus, soundness at a joint part is confirmed before a flow inspection, in the case of middle-to-small diameter (inside diameter 700 mm or less).
