A cut flower anti-senescent preservative containing at least one L-isomer of the compounds represented by the formula HOOC-CH(NH2)-CH2-CH2-S-R wherein R represents a lower alkyl group having two or more carbon atoms, or containing at least one of the compounds represented by said formula and a detergent. The anti-senescent preservative of the invention has an excellent effect for cut flowers, and is ecologically benign. <IMAGE> |
