PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth made of such staple fiber that is difficult to form pills themselves, and therefore having a quite different anti-pilling property from that of conventional anti-pilling cloths on which the pills once formed are fallen. SOLUTION: In this cloth made of the staple fiber, the stable fiber has such a cross section vertical to a longitudinal direction of the fiber that satisfies the inequality (1), 0.3<=S1/S2<=0.7 (S1 is a cross-sectional area of the fiber; and S2 is an area of the circumscribed circle of the fiber), and the cloth does not show any local minimum in a graph of time versus the anti-pilling property, when measured by the ICI anti-pilling test (according to JIS L1076), and further the cloth has an anti-pilling grade of >=3, when measured after performing the above test for 5 hr. |
