<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for mounting a bracket on a frame in a vehicle, allowing a bolt for holding the bracket to be easily attached fixedly to a side member without damaging components such as a wire harness, piping and others within the side member. SOLUTION: The bolt is provided with a compressive deformation part mounted on the shank of a through bolt. The compressive deformation part capable of being inserted into a mounting hole has a larger diameter than the mounting hole and a prescribed length along the axial direction of the shank. A head part is disposed in such a condition as to be positioned on the other side of a strength member, and the through bolt is fixedly attached through the medium of the compressive deformation part to the inside of the mounting hole.</p> |
