PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller and lighter booster for a transmission to realize costreduction. SOLUTION: In a transmission, this booster for transmission control is provided with a power cylinder 10 integrally formed with an upper case 2 of the transmission to revolve a striker 8, and a pressure control valve 6. The valve is formed inside of a shift shaft 4 of the transmission and operated by the gear shift control power directed from a change lever to control the air pressure charge or discharge to the cylinder 10. The striker 8 connects to an outer surface of the shaft 4 rotatably together and axially movable. In shifting gears, the striker 8 links to a piston rod 76 of the cylinder 10 and rotates, and in selecting gears, it freely moves on axis of the shaft 4. The valve 6 operates through an in-put transmit lever 18 connected to a link system for gear shift from the change lever.
