PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure of a liquid crystal projector which is superior portability whose miniaturization and thinning are realized. SOLUTION: Liquid crystal panels 3-5 are placed around a projection lens 1 and an XDP 2, and polarizing plates 1a-7b, and condenser lenses 6a-6c are provided in the opposite side to the XDP 2 between the liquid crystal panels 3-5, respectively. A flow passage 9 of cooling air is provided between the liquid crystal panels 3-5 and the polarizing plates 7a-7b, the cooling air discharged from a sirocco fan 8 flows along the flow passage 9 of cooling air and is discharged, via each of the liquid crystal panels 3-5 in a U-shaped form.
