PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a slender hot air blowout duct in front of a turnout and previously melt and remove carried-in snow in front of the turnout. SOLUTION: The hot air blowout duct 14 is installed between tracks 8, 8 in front of the turnout 2 and spaces 17, 18 are formed between each side face of the duct 14 and each of rails 8, 8 for storing snow carried from a train so that hot air can be blown out of blowout ports 19, 20 of the duct 14 into the spaces 17, 18. In this way, when a train holding the carried-in snow is moved in, the carried-in snow is stored in the spaces 17, 18 between the duct 14 and each of the rails 8, 8. In the spaces 17, 18, the snow is melted by the hot air blown out of the blowout ports 19, 20 of the duct 14. There is no case that the train carries the carried-in snow into the turnout, therefore causing no failure in point change-over. Primitive work with manpower is eliminated and work is automated.
