PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for toning a powder coating material which can easily effect small-lot multi-coloring with a small number of types of color coating materials in a small amount. SOLUTION: This method for toning a powder coating material comprises a step of producing a key color powder coating material of one or both of a white powder coating material at a pigment weight concentration(PWC) of a white pigment of 5-30 and a black powder coating material at a PWC of a black pigment of 0.005-3, a step of producing a coloring powder coating material of one or both of a gray powder coating material containing a white pigment and a black pigment at a mixing ratio of 3,000/1 to 100/1 at a PWC of 0-10 and a coloring powder coating material at a PWC of a color pigment of 0-10, a step of producing a powder coating material having a target color of a coating film by dry blending the key color powder coating material with the coloring powder coating material to effect toning.
