PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a final defect marking apparatus which can rapidly and reliably implements the final defect marking on a film carrier tape for mounting electronic components with defect marking based on the results of various quality inspections for defects such as disconnection, short circuit, chipping and projections in a previous step before shipping at a point and by a method designated by a user. SOLUTION: The final defect marking apparatus comprises a defect mark detecting device of detecting a defect mark of the film carrier tape for mounting electronic components with defect marks at predetermined points in various inspection steps in advance, and a plurality of marking devices of providing the final marking to detected defective portions of the film carrier tape for mounting the electronic components.
