PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-beam single-detector system spectrophotometer using one rotating mirror and no synchronizing device. SOLUTION: Incident reference light 42 reflected by a mirror finished surface 24 of the rotating mirror 22 passes through a reference sample 29, and is reflected again by the same mirror finished surface 24 of the rotating mirror through mirrors 34 and 35, and reaches a detector 37. Incident measuring light 45 passing through a notch part 25 of the rotating mirror 22 passes again the notch part 25 of the rotating mirror 22 through a mirror 30, a sample 28 and mirrors 31, 32 and 33, and reaches the detector 37, to thereby guide two detection light 44 and 47 to the detector 37 through the same optical path.
