A plate (13) is provided in the vicinity of the coil winding (10). The electrical resistance is applied (e.g. printed) to the surface of the plate in the form of resistive tracks (20), with a negative temperature coefficient, at least in part. The plate is made of a good heat conductor such as steel or ceramics and is arranged immediately adjacent to the coil.
