Multimodal polymers by controlled radical polymerisation in presence of alkoxyamines

A composition comprising various alkoxyamines and a process for the preparation of multimodal polymers using these alkoxyamines is new. The composition (C) comprising various alkoxyamines, which comprise groups with the formula (I): RL = monovalent radical with molecular weight greater than 15; A = the alkoxyamines centre; and n = a whole number not zero. An Independent claim is also included for a process to prepare a multimodal polymer by controlled free radical polymerisation of at least one monomer where the polymerisation is initiated in the presence of compositions (C).
