PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a winding unit of an ink ribbon capable of cueing an ink region of a specific color and having a relatively short length and a reduction in size of a color printer. SOLUTION: Pattern structures of all ink isolating areas 54 disposed between ink areas 51 to 53 of cyan, magenta and yellow are substantially the same. Thus, the winding units for winding the ink ribbons necessary to print a printing medium having a predetermined length and a color printer for containing the winding units can be reduced in size by shortening lengths of the areas 54 of parts not to be printed. Since the cyan area 51 is longer than the magenta area 52, a tape can be printed by using the area 51 detected to cue. Then, a conveying amount of the ribbon 18 in association with not printing can be limited to a minimum limit. |
