PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas spring for omitting a gas filling valve and a method for filling compressed gas in a gas filling chamber of the gas spring without using the gas filling valve. SOLUTION: This gas spring 5 is provided with a rod member 20, a cylinder body 21, the gas filling chamber 22, first and second seal members 23 and 24, plural pin members 25 and plural elongate holes 26, and the compressed gas G can be easily and surely filled in the gas filling chamber 22 even if the gas filling valve having a check valve is not provided in the gas spring 5 by using a gas filling jig 30. Therefor, the whole gas spring 5 is formed as a symmetrical structure to the axis of the rod member 20, and since the center of gravity can be set on the axis of the rod member 20, a cause of vibration of a main shaft by the gas spring 5 can be eliminated. |
