PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute nonlinear conversion of a particle signal without using an analog nonlinear converter. SOLUTION: This measuring device is equipped with a particle signal detection part for converting the features of each particle into analog particle signals and detecting the signals relative to multiple particles, an A/D conversion part for executing digital conversion of the obtained analog particle signals and outputting the signals, a nonlinear conversion part for converting the signals x obtained from the A/D conversion part by using a nonlinear function y=f(x), an operation part for operating feature parameters of the particles from the converted values y, and an output part for outputting the operation result. The nonlinear conversion part houses beforehand a reference table representing the calculated values from y=f(x) over a prescribed changing region of x, and executes nonlinear conversion by using the reference table.
