PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel having an elongation and contraction mechanism excellent in space efficiency. SOLUTION: This lens barrel is equipped with a 1st barrel body, a 2nd barrel body, a base part and a single motor, and equipped with a driving gear 11 transmitting the driving force of the motor to the 1st and the 2nd barrel bodies 2 and 3. The driving gear 11 is constituted of a cylindrical gear 11a and an axial center gear 11b whose axial center part 11c is inserted inside the gear 11a, and the gears 11a and 11b are rotated centering around the same rotary shaft. The gear 11a intervenes between a 1st feed screw 13a and the motor, and the gear 11b intervenes between a 2nd feed screw 14a and the motor.
