PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a resin composition for toners which is capable of efficiently manufacturing the resin composition for the toners containing impurities to the lesser extent. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the resin composition for the toners by causing the radical polymerization of a vinyl monomer in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator in an organic solvent, in which the radical polymerization temperature is >=170 deg.C and >=20 mol% of the radical polymerization initiator satisfies prescribed conditions.
