<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing polymerized toners which are exceedingly suppressed in variations in quality in post processing stages when the polymerized toners are produced by a polymerization method on an industrial scale. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the polymerized toners which forms colored polymer particles by suspension polymerizing a monomer mixture containing at least polymerizable monomers and coloring agents in an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer consists in recovering the colored polymer particles by respective stages; (1) a stage for dissolving a dispersion stabilizer in the aqueous dispersion medium by regulating the pH of a polymerization reaction liquid containing the aqueous dispersion medium, the dispersion stabilizer and the colored polymer particles, (2) a stage for subjecting the polymerization reaction liquid to a solid-liquid separation and collecting the wet cake of the colored polymer particles and (3) a stage for carrying out >=2 times the water washing processing consisting of dispersing the wet cake of the colored polymer particles into water to reslurry the same, then collecting the wet cake of the colored polymer particles by subjecting the slurry to a solid-liquid separation.</p> |
