PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that operation is inefficient in the case of a bendable but double airtight sealed fixing structure, since optical fiber output is not stabilized at the time of change in operational ambient temperature in the case that an optical fiber is fixed horizontally and linearly to the optical axis in a package. SOLUTION: A difference in level is given between the tip end part and the airtight sealed part of an optical fiber 4 in a package 2, this optical fiber 4 is bent and fixed; and, a ring-shaped member 17 having a hole 16 for inserting the optical fiber is put into the near-center of the airtight sealed part, the optical fiber 4 and an inserting tube 3 are hermetically sealed by soldering or the like through the ring-shaped member 17. Thus, an easier and surer airtight sealing structure is obtained. In addition, a ferrule 5 holding the tip end of the optical fiber 4 is fixed to a plastically deformable ferrule holder 7, thereby the optical axis can be adjusted after the fixation and the optical fiber to be bent has the optimum shape. |
