PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high resolution color recording medium which consumes low electric power and produces no waste. SOLUTION: The color recording medium is obtained by disposing a recording layer 3 on a substrate 4 by coating with a dispersion prepared by dispersing a dye 1 and a material 2 capable of decomposing the dye in a resin binder. The material 2 capable of decomposing the dye changes into a compound which decomposes the dye under light.
