PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming material, wherein coloring matter having absorption in a wavelength region of 360-700 nm only by irradiation with laser beams, a change in concentration of >=3.0 is generated to a specific absorption wavelength in the wavelength region by generation of the coloring matter, and the image is high sensitive and excellent in storage stability, and further a haze is low even by drawing with a high output laser, and a good face shape is given. SOLUTION: In an image forming method, a coloring matter having an absorption in a specific wavelength range within a range of 360-700 nm is generated only by applying laser beam of energy of 1-700 mJ/cm2 or less to an image forming material containing coloring matter absorbing the laser beam on a base material, and a change in concentration of >=3.0 is generated. |
