PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sharply lighten the operating physical force which is required to open the door to open and close the front of a refrigerator against the attractive force of a magnet gasket, and besides, to enhance the certainty, of door opening action and the reliability, and also, to silence the door opening action. SOLUTION: A motor unit 17 is arranged in a recess 15 provided at a partition plate 13 under a vegetable chamber 3. The above motor unit 17 is equipped with a motor 18, a push rod 19 to press the door 3a for the vegetable chamber 3, a gear device, a spring for return, etc. The above motor 18 is driven at current application of the above motor unit 17, and the push rod 19 is shifted forward according to this. Consequently, the above door 3a is pressed by the above push rod 19 and opens.
