PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle for water works capable of preventing penetration of water or dust into a housing the inside and the rear side of a wall or the like. SOLUTION: The receptacle for water works is provided with a housing 4 on which at least two openings 1, 2 are formed on the front face 3, a faucet body 7 provided inside of the housing to have an inflow inlet 5, an outflow outlet 6, and a valve body 8, a flow rate adjusting handle 9 arranged in one 1 of the openings of the housing to adjust the water flow rate flowing out from the outflow outlet 6 of the faucet body, a transmission mechanism 10 to transmit the rotary operation to the valve body, a joint 11 fixed to the outfow outlet of the faucet body and arranged in the other opening 2 on the housing and of which joint member H' provided at the upstream end of a water supply hose H is detachable, and a cover 13 capable of covering the front face.
