PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hoisting device for securely hoisting and holding a heavy material with the relatively simple structure. SOLUTION: This hoisting device can adjust the hoisting length when hoisting a heavy material, and has a frame, a link chain to be moved in the vertical direction in relation to the frame, plural hydraulic jacks, a slider to be slid by the hydraulic jacks in the vertical direction inside of the frame, a first support arm mechanism for supporting the link chain and fitted to an upper part of the frame, and a second support arm mechanism for supporting the link chain and fitted to the slider so as to be moved in the vertical direction. The link chain is supported by these support arm mechanisms and while the hydraulic jacks are extended and shrunken so as to be moved in the vertical direction, and the hoisting length can be thereby adjusted.
