SOLUTION: This air conditioner for vehicles is mounted on a vehicle with mounting legs 23 fixed on top of the vehicle, and the body of the air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger, etc., and the air conditioner body including the mounting legs 23 is covered by a cover 22, and openings 20 are provided in the surface of the cover 22, and the mounting legs 23 are exposed from the openings 20. This constitution makes it possible to loosen the bolts of the mounting legs 23 without removing the cover 22 and dismounting the whole of the air conditioner from the roof of the vehicle in mounting, inspecting, repairing and dismounting the air conditioner for vehicle.
