PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO2 sensor superior in stability capable of reducing the effects of humidity and improving drifts without the need for a complicated correcting circuit. SOLUTION: In the CO2 sensor provided with a detecting electrode and counter electrode each in contact with a solid electrolyte, the solid electrolyte contains an alkaline metal ion and/or alkaline earth metal ion conductor, and the detecting electrode comprises a metal oxide layer and collector. A metal hydrogen carbonate and/or metal carbonate and metal salt with water of crystallization at room temperature to 100 deg.C are made present between the detecting electrode and solid electrolyte. |
