PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which a proper display is obtained, without causing positional deviation of a semi-transmission plate and a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: An engaging pin 20 and an elastic piece 21 are provided integrally in one upper end surface 4 of a holder 1, made of synthetic resin with the holder 1. When placing the liquid crystal display element 3 on the upper end surface 4 of the holder 1, the elastic piece 21 is formed so as to energize the liquid crystal display element 3 to the detaining pin 20 side. A through-hole 23, which is slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the engaging pin 20, is provided in two places of the semi-transmission plate, corresponding to the engaging pin 20 to be positioned and fixed in matching with the engaging pin 20. After the liquid crystal display element 3 abuts one end face against the inside wall surface of the engaging pin 20, the other edge side is pushed in and inserted from the upper part of the elastic piece 21 to the lower part, while sagging the elastic piece 21 to the outside. After insertion, the liquid crystal display element 3 is energized at the engaging pin 20 side to be held at the holder 1. |
