PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive compressor good in wear resistance and free from problems in the generation of blisters or the like by spheroidizing an eutectic Si phase in an Al-Si alloy without performing solution treatment, and to provide its producing method. SOLUTION: This piston for a swash plate type compressor is produced by adding one or more of Na and Sr of 20 to 1,000 ppm to the molten metal of an Al-Si alloy containing 7 to 18 wt.% Si, performing molten metal treatment and subjecting the molten metal of the Al-Si alloy to dicasting.
