PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent color photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material is obtained by coating the top of a base with photographic constituent layers including at least one photographic sensitive layer comprising photosensitive silver halide, a developing agent and a binder. A silver halide photographic emulsion containing flat platy silver halide grains having (111) faces as principal surfaces, at least 0.70μm average equivalent circular diameter and <0.20μm average thickness is contained in the at least one photographic sensitive layer and the flat platy silver halide grains are formed by the multilayer adsorption of a sensitizing dye on the surfaces of flat platy silver halide grains.
