PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal-catching trap which is scarcely hazadous for man, can catch an animal alive, can easily be carried and assembled, and has a high trapping rate, and to provide a closing device for catching an animal. SOLUTION: This trap for catching the animal, comprising a driving member 60, connection members 80 whose each one end 81 is brought into contact with the driving member and whose each other end 82 is engaged with a lifted shutter 40 to stop the dropping of the shutter 40, and a detection member 90 which is downward extended from the driving member and has a plate-like bait table 91 at the lower end of the detector at a place near to the bottom portion 22 of the main body 20. Dents are formed at places above the connection member- contacting sites on the side surface of the driving member. The connection members are energized with spring members toward the driving member. When an animal invaded in the main body steps the bait table to drop the detection member, the connection members are moved toward the driving member, and the shutters are then dropped to close the openings of the main body.
