In an oil processing plant comprising a refining section including a washing and dewatering device and a drying device, and a bleaching section including a filter, a method of draining oil off the bleaching section is characterized in that the oil is expelled from the filter of the bleaching section by means of water, and the thus-expelled oil is dewatered in the washing and dewatering device of the refining section, and, if desired, dried in the drying device.
