<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the deodorization performance of a deodorizing unit which uses a corona discharge element and an activated charcoal filter, by increasing the amount of generated hydroxyl radical during dry period, and restore the adsorption capability of the entire filter by reactivating activated charcoal in the filter. SOLUTION: The deodorizing unit includes an air duct, a fan for feeding air into the air duct, the corona discharge element comprising a discharge electrode and a counter electrode disposed along air duct, and the activated charcoal filter disposed on the downstream side of the corona discharge element. A moisture-absorbent filter for reversibly adsorbing and desorbing moisture by virtue of different pressures of steam in the air is disposed between the corona discharge element and the activated charcoal filter.</p> |
