SOLUTION: This character growing game system comprises a web (worldwide web) server 1 and a cellular phone 20. The server 1 has a character growing game device 10. The game device 10 is provided with the hardware and software for a character growing game, e.g. at least a growth process part 100 and a transmission/reception controller 112 controlling the transmission/ reception process of data for the internet. A network center 30 intermediates the connection between the cellular phone 20 and the internet. The game image from the game device 10 is displayed on the monitor of the cellular phone 20, and the game is progressed by operating a key to return response data. The growth result is transmitted to the cellular phone 20 from the server 1.
