PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of designating an image-plotting type capable of readily and surely designating a type of plotting of an image printed by a printer such as a label printer. SOLUTION: In this method of designating the type of image-plotting, (A) a plurality of image-plotting areas is designated (step 301) in one screen to be printed, (B) the plurality of designated image-plotting areas are linked with each other on a predetermined reference coordinate (step 302), (C) image data and the image-plotting type is designated corresponding to each of the image- plotting areas (steps 303, 304) and (D) the image data designated by corresponding to the image-plotting area based on the designated image-plotting type is processed and then one image to be printed is generated (steps 306, 307).
