PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-recording apparatus having a double-sided printing function which prevents a storage means from being filled with received image information by prohibiting double-sided printing when a vacant capacity becomes small in the apparatus. SOLUTION: When double-sided printing is set (1: YES), if there is not a vacant memory enabling the double-sided printing (2: NO), the double-sided printing is made invalid and a process for single-sided printing is carried out (S9 and S10).
