PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance stability of an ink meniscus appearing in the vicinity of a slit-like opening by regulating the fluid resistance of ink in a channel. SOLUTION: The ink recorder comprises a support forming a slit-like opening and a liquid chamber for filling ink, a power supply body for supplying charges to ink, a counter electrode disposed oppositely to the opening, and a power supply circuit for applying a voltage between the power supply body and the counter electrode. An ink fluidity regulation layer is provided at a part of the liquid chamber in order to regulate fluid resistance of ink passing through the gap between that layer and the wall face of the liquid chamber. According to the arrangement, stability of ink meniscus is enhanced and an ink recorder having enhanced recording stability is obtained.
