PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for mounting a reel of a fishing rod equipped with an improved click mechanism capable of being housed in an arranging space having a small size in the radical direction and thereby capable of miniaturizing the whole in the radial direction and reducing the weight. SOLUTION: This device for mounting the reel of the fishing rod is characterized in that the click mechanism comprises a receiving unit 32 having an engaging part 32a and an engageable part 41a capable of engaging with the engaging part 32a with an urging force of a spring member 42 so as to be engageable and disengageable and the spring member 42 is combined with the engageable part 41a within the range of the thickness size of the engageable part 41a in the radial direction of a seat body 4 in the device for mounting the reel of the fishing rod.
