PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for automatically recording the using time of a care apparatus, which can automatically record the use start time, use end time, and using time of the care apparatus for each patient, and a management device for bed-leaving time using this device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a sensor 2 for detecting whether the care apparatus is under use or not, a clock 1-4, a memory 1-2, and a card reader/writer 4-3. When a patient uses the care apparatus, the IC card 3 of the patient is inserted to the card reader/writer. This device is provided with an automatic arithmetic recording function of detecting the use start time from the use detection of the care apparatus by the sensor 2 and the time of the clock 1-4 followed by storing in the memory 1-2, detecting the use end time and also calculating the using time from the non-use detection of the care apparatus by the sensor 2 and the time of the clock followed by recording in the memory 1-2, and recording the use start time, use end time, and using time recorded in the memory 1-2 in the IC card 3.
