PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate control of an ink droplet to be ejected from an ink outlet of an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: A magnitude of a drive energy to be given to a head driver 15 is controlled by an ink droplet control means to control the ink droplet to be ejected from the ink outlet 10 by inputting an ink droplet control signal from a host machine. Thus, the ink droplet in response to the ink droplet control signal is ejected, and an output image quality is regulated.
