PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denitration catalyst more excellent in removing performance of nitrogen oxides and suitable for removing the nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas and to provide a denitration method using the denitration catalyst. SOLUTION: The denitration catalyst contains titanium oxide (TiO2), titanium- silicon multiple oxide (TiO2-SiO2), vanadium oxide and molybdenum oxide as catalyst components.
