PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail mounting structure with high load resistance allowing a handrail to be mounted to a various existing stool that is already installed. SOLUTION: Handrail mounting tools 2 are disposed on both sides of a stool body 1 to fix the handrail mounting tools 2 to the stool body 1, handrails 3 arranged in the front of the handrail mounting tools 2 are mounted to the tools 2, rear projecting pieces 4 extend backwardly from the tools 2, and the rear projecting pieces 4 are provided with stool abutting parts 5 abutting to the lower surfaces of the stool body 1.
