<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating type water purifier, which has a simple structure and is nevertheless excellent in water purification function and excels in installation and operation properties without and which does not adversely affect the environment even when the device is deteriorated. SOLUTION: Members made of a material buoyant in water, such as wood or bamboo, are assembled into a latticelike raft (1, 2). Vegetation bags 7 each of which is packed with carbon chips 6 and seeds and seedlings of plants are prepared and fixed to the inside of one of the rectangular spaces in the latticelike framework of the raft with a rope 8. Since the floating device is constructed by using, as its constituent materials, only vegetable material shaving no adverse effect on the environment throughout the device and carbon on which microorganisms capable of decomposing organic matter in water stick and grow is also used as a material for sticking and growing plants on it, water purification can be performed with a combination of carbon and such plants and the floating device can also effectively be used as production facilities of seedlings for greening, vegetables, or the like.</p> |
