PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire molding method by which product precision is upgraded by mitigating the deformation distortion of a carcass cord and a molding cycle is shortened to enhance the productivity as well as a transfer device using this molding method. SOLUTION: The transfer device 5 is of such a constitution that an inner ring 10 is internally mounted in an annularly formed slide ring member 8 of a U-section, in a freely rotatable manner, through a positioning guide roller 9 and the inner ring 10 is driven to rotate by a rotary drive device 11 installed on the outer peripheral face of the slide ring member 8. In addition, a gripping/ fixing member 16 which grips and fixes or opens the outer peripheral face of a laminate 4 of the slide ring members 8, is provided on the inner face side of the inner ring 10 through a switching mechanism 15. The gripping/fixing member 16 is constituted of a slide segment 17 and a slide cone 18 which slides into contact with an inclined face 17a formed on the slide segment 17 through an intermediate member 17b in the horizontal direction.
