PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a natural stone-like composite resin molded article, which comprises a two-layered structure consisting of a surface artificial natural stone layer and a backing layer and has natural stone-like appearance, by simultaneous integral molding. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the natural stone-like composite molded article consists of a process (1) for forming a layer comprising a resin raw material for a surface layer, which contains a filler for creating natural stone-like appearance, on the inner surface of one mold, which has a molding surface necessary for forming the surface of the molded article, among one set of molds which consist of male and female molds in such a state that the molds are opened, a process (2) for filling the space surrounded by the layer of the resin raw material and the inner surface of the other mold with a mixture, which consists of expansible particles and an uncured thermosetting resin, as a resin raw material for a backing layer and a process (3) for closing the molds to cure the thermosetting resin of the resin raw material for the backing layer to manufacture the natural stone-like composite molded article and taking out the molded article.
